Research Scholarship
  • Research scholarship granted to selected students with academic excellence (up to 500,000 won per month)
SCI-level Paper Presentation
  • Publish one SCI-level thesis as a graduation requirement
  • Journal club of 4~5 people
International Curriculum
  • All BME major classes are conducted in English
Participation in International Conferences
  • Opportunities to participate in both domestic and international conferences 
  • A lead author selected for the oral presentation is encouraged to participate in international conferences
Global Research Network
  • Study abroad program (1~2 months) opportunities during the academic break
  • Similar to the participation in global exploration program, application to the study abroad program requires a research proposal (both individual and team units allowed)
Varioius Competitions
  • Various competitions including creative robot competition, BMS (Brain Mapping Software) competition, and creative medical device competition are hosted
  • The winning team receives one academic credit and a prize
IBS Research Center Programs
  • Registration fee for the IBS Summer Brain Imaging School is provided for outstanding students 
  • Special seminar programs hosted by IBS, which allows direct interaction with the scholars 
  • Opportunities to experience and learn how to use state-of-the-art neuroimaging equipments, including MRI
Honors Graduation Thesis Awards
  • Winners are provided with opportunities to participate in short and long-term overseas training programs at joint research universities and research institutes
Software Training
  • Opportunity to develop software programs, through which developers of the successful programs are allowed to register the intellectual property rights with their supervisors
  • Software training (CAD, MATLAB, etc.) from external experts
Research Credit System
  • One can acquire up to 6 academic credits per year during the winter and summer break after conducting research at a lab (limited to 24 credits in 4 years)
