GLOBAL TOP BME, SKKU BME

Hello,

The remarkable development of the modern medical technology not only prolongs life, but also provides a higher quality of life. Cancer can now be identified at the molecular level of a unit smaller than that of cells extracted from the living body, and the development of ultra-high resolution imaging techniques has made it possible to find small cellular units in the human body that have not yet been identified before. In particular, the rapid development in the field of advanced BioElectronics and biomaterials has been contributing a lot to the advancement of modern medical technology.

Biomedical Engineering is an academic field that attempts to solve various medical problems by providing new technologies and methodologies from an engineering perspective. It is a future-oriented, high-tech discipline that currently requires the most amount of meticulous training. In the United States, the field of biomedical engineering has already gained popularity since the 1980s and is now one of the most popular academic disciplines.

Our department focuses on brain science, brain engineering, biomaterials, and advanced bioelectronics among various biomedical engineering subfields. We're looking for active leaders who can lead the biomedical engineering industry with flexibility, creativity, and proficiency in advanced biomedical engineering field. To achieve this, we promote high-quality education with world-class faculty and top-notch research environment. Each and every one of our faculty members in the Department of Biomedical Engineering is passionate to guide you into infinite new possibilities. We look forward to your interest in becoming a world leader in the field of biomedical engineering by sharing your passion with us. I will shorten this letter by sharing with you the words of Isaac Newton, who I most admire as a scholar.

"If I have made any valuable discoveries, it has been owing to patient attention, than to any other talent."

Thank you!
